Robert E. Delaney Jr., “Bobby D.”, age 65, of Plainsboro, NJ. On September 17th our beloved dad passed away suddenly of a broken heart after losing his lifelong soulmate back in April. Now Mom & Dad are together again, riding around heaven in the burgundy Camaro. Born in Trenton, NJ he was a lifelong resident of Hamilton Township. Bob is survived by his loving children, Alison Delaney Glosik and husband Joseph, Kevin D. Delaney and wife Nicole, Caitlin Delaney and her fiancé John Yarusinsky, father-in-law Ray Strange, sister Barb Bobal and husband Tom, brother-in-law Stephen Strange, brother-in-law Patrick Strange and his wife Sharon, grandchildren Lily Glosik and Sloane Delaney, niece Emily Bobal, and nephews Joshua and Ryan Strange, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Eileen, parents Robert E. Delaney, Sr. and Mary Delaney, and mother-in-law Joan Strange. Bob retired from his career as an HVACR Technician at Princeton University Grounds & Facilities after more than 30 years. Bob was a classic car enthusiast and car racing fan, and also enjoyed surf fishing. He especially loved his family vacations in Emerald Isle, NC and Stone Harbor, NJ. Bob was most proud of his kids, and his granddaughters were the light of his life. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael-Holy Angels Church, 3500 So. Broad Street, Hamilton, New Jersey 08610. Cremation and interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Bob’s memory (www.alzfdn.org).
