Virginia L. Horning, 91, of Robbinsville, NJ, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, she attended Trenton High School up to 11th grade and graduated from Hamilton High School West. She resided in Yardville, NJ for many years where she and her late husband, Joseph, raised their family and currently resided in Robbinsville, NJ. Virginia was formerly employed at Thermoid, Hamilton, where she met her late husband, Joe; was Head Teller with Yardville National Bank, Hamilton, was a bookkeeper with Grover Lumber, Princeton, and was a Lunchroom Aide at Langtree Elementary School, Hamilton. She enjoyed playing golf every Tuesday and while on vacations, loved playing Bingo and the lottery, taking trips to Atlantic City with her late husband, crocheting and cross stitching and spending time with her family.
Daughter of the late William Sr. and Esther Longmuir Newton. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years Joseph S. Horning; her brother William Newton Jr. and her brother-in-law Robert Liberman. She is survived by her three loving daughters and sons-in-law Joanne and John Voorhees, Christine Horning and Barbara and David Venanzi; her grandchildren Mark (Sofia) Voorhees, Jennifer Voorhees, David (Stephanie) Venanzi, Jr. and Ashley (Brett) Marini; her great-grandchildren Kane and Cruz Voorhees, Madison and Selena Voorhees, Malia Marini and Logan Venanzi; her sister Nancy Liberman, her brother Leon (Lorraine) Newton and her sister-in-law Patricia Newton along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Sq., NJ.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton, NJ.
