Obituary of Dominic Misciascio
Dominic “Jr” Misciascio, 83, passed away, surrounded by his family, on Monday, July 11, 2022.
Dominic was born in Pottsville, PA on May 4, 1939 and moved to Trenton, NJ on December 7, 1941 where he grew up. He was a Graduate of Hamilton High School West Class of 1957 and graduated from Ursinus College with a B.S. in physics and went on to achieve his Master’s Degree from the University of New Mexico in physics. After 43 years of teaching physics and math, he retired from Mercer County Community College.
Dominic was the President of the American Hungarian Civic Association, an organization devoted to providing academic scholarships to high school students aspiring to go to college. He devoted much of his free time to the AHCA. He was a member of the Hamilton Elks and Central Jersey Antique Car Club. His favorite hobbies were selling used cars and selling real estate. He enjoyed traveling and circled the world several times.
Son of the late Dominic and Elizabeth Misciascio, he is survived by his brothers John Misciascio of Yardville, NJ and Joseph (Susan) Misciascio of Hamilton, NJ and his sister Angie Yeager of Sellersville, PA. Affectionately known as “Uncle Jr”, he was a devoted uncle to Nicki (Margie) Misciascio, Frankie Yeager, and Joseph, Jenna, Megan and Kelsey Misciascio. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
Funeral service will be Monday, July 18, 2022 at 11 AM from Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ (www.KingstonandKemp.com).
Interment will follow at St. Basil Cemetery, Clover Ave., Hamilton, NJ.
Relatives and friends may visit on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 4 to 6 PM and on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
