Michael P. Marue, 84, of Hamilton, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ on November 30, 1937, Michael was a lifelong area resident. He was a Graduate of Trenton Catholic High School and a US Army Veteran. He was retired after more than 40 years with the NJ Department of Transportation as a Traffic Engineer and was a beloved funeral assistant and driver with Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, Hamilton, NJ, for the past 22 years. Michael was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Trenton, a member and past-treasurer of the Holy Name Society and a Special Minister of Holy Communion. He enjoyed his work, loved spending time with his family and always looked forward to spending a day playing golf with his brothers.
Son of the late Paul and Frances Kopf Marue and brother of the late Paul Marue, he is survived by his loving wife of more than 60 years Theresa J. Helmlinger Marue, his sons and daughter-in-law Michael J. and Dorothy Marue and Mark P. Marue, his grandchildren Paul and Ashley Marue, his brothers and sisters-in-law John and Rachael Marue and James and Carol Marue, his sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Ron Lamoreaux, his sister-in-law Dolores Marue and many nieces and nephews.
Mike’s family would like to thank the ICU staff at St. Francis Medical Center, Chaplain Fernandes and Father Marzin Kania of St. Mary’s Cathedral, Trenton, NJ for their compassion and kindness.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 12 Noon at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ (www.KingstonandKemp.com).
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton, NJ.
Relatives and friends may visit on Wednesday from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the funeral home.
