Obituary of James T. Kenney

James T. Kenney, 69, of Hamilton Square, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Trenton, NJ, he attended Kuser School, Reynold’s Junior High School, Steinert High School and Mercer County Community College for Automotive Curriculum. Jimmy worked at a few car dealerships as a mechanic, Keats Ford as Service Manager, was owner and operator of Automotive Specialists for 15 years and retired from Parsons in Lawrenceville, NJ, as Director of Security and Loss Prevention. He enjoyed going to car shows and will miss cruising in his 1995 yellow Corvette convertible. Predeceased by his parents James B. and Marguerite Kenney, his sisters Barbara DiNatale and Mary Ellen Hedrick, his aunt and uncles Ellen “Myrtle” and Dr. George Robertson and Tom Roberson, his mother and father-in-law John W. and Catherine Szwed and his brothers-in-law John T. and Jeffrey Szwed, he is survived by his loving wife Marcia Szwed Kenney, his loving daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Darren Marabello, his son and daughter-in-law James and Michele Kenney and grandchildren James and Cheyenne Kenney. He is also survived by his niece Tracy Beckett, her husband Peter and their sons Timothy, Patrick and Sean, his niece Sandy Munden, his nephew Mark Rinz, his sisters-in-law Cindy (Mike) Mikkelsen, Linda (Ken) Bolton and brother-in-law Douglas Szwed, his niece Stefanie Mikkelsen and fiancé Mitch Brown and great-niece and nephew Madison and Brendan Maksimow, his nephew Larry (Debbie) Janowski and their sons Larry “LJ” and William, his nephew Michael Janowski, his sister-in-law Maryanne Szwed, his nephews Scott, Christopher and John Szwed, his cousins Virginia Wood, Tom Robertson and Kenney Shipley and many friends. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 12 Noon at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ (www.KingstonandKemp.com) Visitation for family and Friends will be Saturday from 10 AM until 12 Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of his brother-in-law Jeffrey “Buddy” Szwed to ARC of Mercer, 180 Ewingville Road, Ewing Twp., NJ 08638.
