Patrick H. Wolverton, Sr., 88, passed away on Saturday, January 29, peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Capital Health-Hopewell.
Born in Trenton, where he resided for most of his life, he spent 15 years in Palmetto, FL before moving back to New Jersey 4 years ago. Patrick was employed by Swift Trucking Co. for many years before becoming a lifetime member and the first paid top Driver and Fireman at DeCou Hose Co. He was a very hard-working man and also worked a job at Pathmark, before retiring from employment completely.
He was predeceased by his first wife Dolores L. (Grover) Wolverton, his parents Edwin and Elizabeth Wolverton, his granddaughter Deanna L. (Foster) Heil, his brothers Joe, Jack, Bill, George, Tom, Charles and Jim, his sisters Joyce, Barbara and Lorraine, his daughter-in-law Kathleen Womack and his son-in-law Peter H. DeLucia.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Sandra (Lawitz) Wolverton, his daughters Rose Foster and her husband Fred and Linda DeLucia, his sons Patrick Wolverton, Jr., Ronald Wolverton, Sr. and his wife Kathleen, his step-children Lewis Lawitz and his wife Terri and Jeri Shelmut and her husband Walter, his sister Claire, his grandchildren Dawn Fox and husband Augie, Peter DeLucia and wife Jennifer, Lisa DeLucia and boyfriend Hank Zuczek, Angela Gill and husband Thomas J., Ronald Wolverton, Jr. and partner Jessica and grandson-in-law William Heil, his great-grandchildren Miranda (Arthur), Tabitha, Majesta, Travis, Raymond, Laney, Sean, Kyle, Mya, Alyssa, Katelyn, Olivia, Jacob, Abigail and Emily, his great-great-grandchildren Jaxson and Arthur (Ricky), and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 12 Noon at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton (www.KingstonandKemp.com).
Interment will follow at Colonial Memorial Park, 3039 S. Broad St., Hamilton.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the funeral home.
