The Lord called Minnetta M Stines of Mercerville, NJ home on January 14, 2022. Minnetta was born in Trenton, NJ on October 27, 1933 and resided in Mercerville until the time of her death. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School West, class of 1953. Minnette was a home maker and she worked as a store associate at GC Murphys, Mr. Gus and Kmart. Minnetta was active in her community where she was a life member of the Mercerville Fire Co. Ladies Aux, Mercer County Ladies and the NJ State Auxiliary. She enjoyed her time with her husband of 51 years rolling around in his 64 Ford Fairlane. She had a love for gardening, wind chimes and collecting dolls. Minnetta is predeceased by her parents Edward F and Anna (Lee) Layton Sr., her husband Marvin I. Stines, her son Marvin L Stines, and her stepson David L Stines. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Coleman and husband John, her son Gary Stines and wife Sarah; and her five grandchildren Robert, Brian and Michael Coleman and David and Kevin Stines. She is also survived by her sister Adelaide Lenhardt, and brothers Edward F Layton Jr. and wife Maureen, and Samuel P Layton wife Gail and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be on January 22, 2022 at 12 noon at Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ 08610. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Trenton, NJ. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the funeral home.
