Maureen Patricia Dean, born in Woodside NY on December 21, 1941 to Patrick and Anne (Loftus) Gribbin, died, peacefully, on Thursday, January 3, 2025. She graduated from St. Sebastian’s School, Bishop McDonald’s High School and St. John’s University. Maureen was a member of the Sisters of Mercy of Syosset, NY for 17 years, leaving the order in 1978. In 1985, she married the love of her life, Paul Dean, and settled in Brooklyn, NY. In 2004, they retired to their dream home in the retirement community of Locust Hill, in Hamilton Square, NJ, where they spent many happy years surrounded by family and friends. Paul preceded Maureen in death in 2013. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 9 to 10 AM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Interment of Paul and Maureen’s cremated remains will follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, 25th Street, Brooklyn, NY.
