Kenneth J. Shuren, 82, of Yardville, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Born in Trenton, NJ, Ken was raised in Hightstown, NJ, and graduated from Hightstown High School, Class of 1960. He worked for IBM from 1960 to 1970 and was employed with the United States Postal Service from 1970 until his retirement in 2004. Ken enjoyed both salt water and fresh water fishing, as well as, camping and kayaking in the Adirondacks. He also enjoyed trips to the Jersey shore. Ken was an avid Lionel train collector and attended countless model train shows. He always loved spending time and playing pool with his family. Son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Shuren, he is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Stuller Shuren, his son Jonathan B. Shuren and his partner Ruth Sexton, his grandsons Xzavier A. and Jaxson A. Shuren, his brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Janet Shuren and his beloved black lab Quinn. Funeral service and entombment at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ will be private. Relatives and friends may visit on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 3 to 5 PM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Ken’s family has requested that memorial contributions be made to your local SPCA or an animal shelter of your choice.
