Remembering John A. “Jack” Krzywulak Sr.: A Life of Love, Friendship, and
Service.
On November 24, 2024, the Hamilton community and countless friends and family
members said their final goodbyes to John A. “Jack” Krzywulak Sr., who passed
away peacefully at Serenity Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Jack’s journey
concluded at the age of 88, leaving behind a legacy marked by devotion, skill, and
kindness.
Born on April 27, 1936, to Raymond L. and Catherine M. (Howarth) Krzywulak, Sr., Jack
was a lifelong resident of Hamilton, NJ. His early years were spent laying the foundation
for a remarkable life that would intertwine with the community he loved. A proud
graduate of Hamilton High School West, Class of 1954, Jack’s youthful days were
enriched by the presence of Loretta A. Varroni, his high-school sweetheart. They
married on June 6, 1959, embarking on a beautiful journey that would see them
together for over six decades, raising two children, John Jr. and Patricia Ann, whose
lives were filled with the warmth and dedication of their parents.
Jack’s commitment to service was evident during his time in the U.S. Coast Guard,
where he earned an Honorable Discharge. This spirit of service translated into his
professional life as well. He began his career as a meat cutter at Penn Fruit/Dales,
where he spent two decades and marveled at how culinary trends have changed over
the years. Known affectionately as “TV Jack,” his mechanical skills allowed him to
branch out into the realm of television repair, responding to calls from clients in need.
Jack did not shy away from learning new technologies, continuously educating himself,
graduating from the R.C.A. Institute in New York City, and receiving certifications from
the Apple Computer Company Service School in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
Jack’s most cherished role was as a technician at Princeton University’s Princeton
Plasma Physics Lab, in the Calibration and Repair Lab, where he devoted 21 years,
and where he met his good friend Jake, and honing his craft and forming lasting
friendships.
His final position at MacSultants as a Computer Lab Technician built upon his extensive
knowledge, showcasing his lifelong commitment to his work, and met another good
friend, Rick. Both Jake and Rick had remained a constant in Jack’s life, and he always
cherished their friendship. Jack finally retired at the ripe old age of 80 years old.
Passionate about handyman work, cooking, and spending quality time with family, Jack
found joy in the simplicity of life. Guided by his close friend “Big” Ray Danberry, he
developed a reputation for being able to tackle any project. Jack was especially known
for his culinary skills and preparing meals that brought his family together. Whether
watching cooking shows or scanning grocery store circulars for the best deals, he
poured love into every dish he created. His devotion to his family remained unwavering,
providing them with care and comfort throughout the years.
An adventurous spirit, Jack enjoyed skiing and was an active member of the Trenton Ski
Club for over 40 years, creating lasting memories on the slopes with friends and family,
especially with his son, John.
Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife, Loretta Ann, whose memory he honored
with his daily visits to her grave, his parents Raymond L. and Catherine (Howarth) M.
Krzywulak Sr., his sisters Catherine Patricia “Patsy” Krzywulak, Judith Ann Krzywulak,
brother and sister-in-law Raymond “Buddy” L. Jr. and Harriet Krzywulak, his in-laws,
Carl and Sophie (Comegna) Varroni, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria and
Joseph Ridolfi, and his niece, Kathy Ridolfi Ritz.
He is survived by his son, John A. Krzywulak Jr. and companion JoAnn Abranowicz; his
daughter, Patricia Ann Krzywulak and her companion Robert Hogan; his grandchildren
Christina Ann Hill and her fiancé Jeff Pownall, Karley Lynn Lanzalotti and her husband
Bobby, and John Nicholas Krzywulak; his great-grandchildren Leo and Liv Lanzalotti,
Grace “Gracie” Elizabeth Pownall; his sister Betty Aaronson; and numerous nieces,
nephews, and friends, including his first-born nephew Raymond L. Krzywulak III, who
was always there for him.
Jack’s infectious smile, humor, generosity, and warmheartedness will be deeply missed
by all who knew him. The family expresses their gratitude to the phenomenal staff at
Serenity Hospice for their kindness, respect, and compassion during Jack’s final days,
particularly recognizing nurse Lori, RN, Jennah, Nursing Aide, and Theresa, Social
Worker, for their exceptional care.
Visitation hours to celebrate Jack’s life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from
9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, followed by a service and
interment at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Serenity
Hospice, 56 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505…Honoring Jack’s memory and
the care he received.
As Hamilton bids farewell to Jack Krzywulak, we remember a man whose life was lived
