Obituary of Peggy Ann Bird
Hamilton, NJ - On Monday, December 27, 2021, in the morning, The Lord called Peggy Ann Williams Bird to go home with him. Peggy left this world, peacefully, as a woman of great faith. Her family is comforted in knowing that she is with her Lord Jesus Christ.
Peggy was born in South Carolina and lived large portions of her life in Hamilton, New Jersey and, later, in Abbeville, South Carolina. She was retired from the State of New Jersey / Division of Taxation and went on to live at her lake house in Abbeville until recently returning to the Hamilton area. She enjoyed countless trips to the beach, craft work, shopping adventures, cheering on Clemson, vacations to visit extended family and spending time on her boat. She loved spending days at the shore or the boardwalk with her family, whom she was devoted to and loved passing out the gifts from under the tree every Christmas Eve.
Peggy was pre-deceased by her parents Dan Furtick and Ruth Hallman, her first husband Jimmy Williams, her daughter Judi Monacchio, her sister Betty Rooney and her brother Jessie Furtick. She is survived by her husband Roger C. Bird, with whom she has spent the last 30 plus years of marriage blessed by the Lord, her daughter Debbie (James) Minch of Ewing, NJ, Sandy (Harby) Williams of Abbeville, SC, and Wanda (Kenneth) Lovett of Hamilton, NJ, her sister-in-law Rose Furtick, her grandchildren Jennifer (Kevin) Rice, Kelly Minch, Joshua Lovett, James (Jillian) Minch, Erin (Justin) Byers, and Carlie (Tyler) Brooks, her great-grandchildren Jared and Keeva Rice, Ashlyn Powell, Caleb Byers, Jackson and Braelyn Minch, as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, step-children and grandchildren who were all so very important to her. We know that the Lord has brought her home and she is rejoicing in his promises.
