Carl Walter Wilson, 86, of Hamilton,NJ, passed away on December 24, 2023. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Carl was an area resident for most of his life. He attended Trenton schools and enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1954. Following the completion of his Marine Corps duty, he transferred to the US Navy, where he joined the Seabees. After his US Navy service, he remained a member of the US Navy Reserve until his retirement in 1989. Carl retired from the Township of Hamilton, NJ Road Department in 2002. He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for many years and worked for several years at Manheim Auto Auction, Bordentown, NJ. Carl enjoyed pitching quoits, dancing and continued to ride his motorcycle until the age of 82. Son of the late Charles M. and Dorothy Forrest Wilson, father of the late Carl Wilson, brother of the late William Wilson, father-in-law of the late Christopher Rowe and Joseph Seliga and grandfather of the late Jason D. Rowe, he is survived by his loving companion June Updike, his daughters and son-in-law Joanne Wilson and husband Robert Goss, Michele Seliga and Tracy Rowe, his grandchildren Jesse Rowe, Shelby Seliga and Morgan (Kyle) Hartman, his beloved great-granddaughter Sophia Seliga, his dear friend Pat Toto and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ (www.KingstonandKemp.com). Cremation and interment at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ will be private.
