Obituary of Mary Callahan

HAMILTON – Mary (Messina) Callahan Elmer, 61, died on Tuesday, December 12th at home.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. Mary had a long career with the Mercer County Board of Social Services for over 30 years. She also worked part-time for Pediatrics Day and Night for many years.
Mary loved her family. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and she was an avid collector of elephants (trunks up only) – just like her mother.
Daughter of the late Joseph F. and Anna M. (Franks) Messina, she is also predeceased by her brother Carmen Messina.
Mary is survived by her loving & devoted husband Tim (Thomas) Elmer, two daughters, Kristen Callahan and Kelly & Eric Tucker, her step-daughter, Melissa & Deron Cooke; her three grandchildren, whom she adored, Theodore & Addison Tucker and Zaye Cooke; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Deborah Gregory, Dora & Eric Hannawacker, Darlene & Edward Krisak, Margaret & John Straccio and JoAnn & Gregory Embly; one brother, Joseph Messina; two aunts, Marie Moceri and Frances Severino; one uncle, John Tammelleo and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ.
Entombment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, 403 Gordon Road, Robbinsville, NJ.
Relatives and friends may visit on Friday from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
