There are numerous happy, funny and memorable times that have been spent with Bob. The vacations that the four of us (Bob, Marylou, Kenny & myself) have shared over the years. These special times will always put a smile on my face and bring joy to my heart.
I want to share a funny story. I was preparing to make Crab cakes, I asked Bob if he would pick up a jar of pimentos for me. When he came back he told me the store did not have any. Being the thoughtful person that he is, plus not wanting me to be upset. He went ahead and picked up Olives stuffed with Pimentos. I just lost it. To this day when I make Crab Cakes, I giggle and think of Bob.
I remember how much Bob enjoyed the outdoors especially when he had a father/son getaway with Bobby. In later years Lance joined the duo.
I've never seen Bob as happy and proud as I did the day of Jill & Joe's wedding. "No other love in the world is like the love a father has for his little girl." Both Bob & Marylou were, so very, happy to welcome Joe into their family.
On October 23, 2000 the biggest blessing of Bob's life his grandson Matthew was born. Bob would often say how much he loved and enjoyed his time together with Matthew. Whether it was visiting museums, going to the driving range to hit a few balls or to see the Phillies/Trenton Thunder play.
The caring, compassion and thoughtfulness he showed to mom mom & pop pop was done out of love. Without hesitation or being asked he was always there for them.
My Hero, that is how Marylou referred to Bob. When Marylou, was not feeling well her Hero was right by her side. Bob, would drive her to doctor visits, drive her into Philly as often as needed, do the grocery shopping. He would never complain. He loved her and she loved him.
Bob, was a kind, gentle and thoughtful person who will be greatly missed.
I will close now the same way that I would always end our conversations
LOVE YOU
Forever in our hearts
