Obituary of Julianna Zalescik Serben
Please share a memory of Julianna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Julianna (Judy) Serben (Zalescik), 84, of Trenton, New Jersey died peacefully, after a brief illness, on August 28, 2023, with her loving husband by her side. She retired after 25 years with the State of New Jersey, Division of Motor Vehicles. Judy lived a life full of love, happiness and Disney. Judy's favorite place to travel was her many times to Walt Disney World and cruises with family and friends. Her love of Disney extended to her family and friends, always sharing Disney treasures with them on holidays and Birthdays. Her home was adorned with Disney photos, magnets, statues, etc. and she was more than likely wearing Disney attire.
Judy started something wonderful in the family, three generations of Disney lovers. In her final days on this earth, her illness brought her family together for the first time in years. Her three children, and her grandchildren, were by her side supporting her and their father during this difficult time. Her sudden illness brought her family together to be with her one last time. Judy was predeceased by her loving mother, Marion Boardman (Chiappetta) and twin Granddaughters, Jessica Lea and Amber Marie Serben. She is survived by her husband Louis, and would have celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on October 18th. She is also survived by Sons Michael (Dodie) Serben of Minneola FL, Raymond (Deborah) Serben of Duncansville, PA and Daughter, Deborah Cope of Hamilton, NJ. Step-Granddaughter, Krista Mock, Grandchildren, Nicole Serben,
Matthew Serben and Jennifer Serben. Three Great-grandchildren and a Step-Great Granddaughter. She was also survived by her many Grand- and Great-Grand Furbabies. Her many Grand- and Great-Grand Furbabies who predeceased her were there to welcome her to heaven.
Donations in Judy's memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org.) an organization she supported throughout her life. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at Serenity Hospice. Services are being held privately under the direction of Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home.
