Thomas A. Heath, 69, of Hamilton Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully at home on July 28, 2023. He was a great man and was loved by all and will be truly missed. There’s nobody in the area who hasn’t sampled Tom’s cooking. He was the Chef at Whitehorse Firehouse and Gervasio’s Italian Restaurant for many years and was also the owner of The Catering Chef. When he wasn’t working, he spent time with his beloved wife and Pomeranians. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ. Thomas attended Cathedral High School in Trenton and was a graduate of the Restaurant School of Philadelphia, PA. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1973 thru 1977 on the aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CV 42. He also worked for the US Postal Service before becoming a Hamilton Township Police Officer and retired after 31 years of exemplary service. He was most recently employed as the Chief Warrant Officer for the Burlington County Sherriff’s Office. Predeceased by his father Calvin K. Heath, he is survived by his wife Nanci Heath of Florida, his mother Antoinette Irwin of Hamilton, NJ, a sister Marie Heath of Hamilton, brother John and wife Lisa Irwin of California and brother Joseph Irwin of Lumberton, NJ. He is predeceased by, and survived by many aunts and uncles. He is also survived by many nieces, nephew’s and cousins. Visitation at 9:30 AM, followed by a 12PM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 1st at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 626 S. Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08629 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s honor to the Disabled American Veterans or The N.J. Police Honor Legion, where he was an Executive Board Officer and Member.
