Richard A. “Gep” Gephart, Sr., 91, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. Born in Point Pleasant, NJ, Richard was a lifelong Hamilton resident. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War, travelling to many ports around the world on the USS Pickering DD-685. Richard was retired from the NJ Department of Transportation after 46 years of service. He enjoyed driving his sports car to Town & Country Diner for breakfast and hanging out at the Bordentown boat ramp overlooking the Delaware River, riding and working on his Harley Davidson motorcycles, watching the Discovery and History channels, watching NASCAR, and taking rides down the shore to Seaside and LBI. Son of the late Franklin and Helen Fowler Gephart, husband for 51 years of the late Mary M. Katona Gephart, and father of the late Richard A. Gephart, Jr., he is survived by his son Nicholas C. Gephart and wife Angela, his daughter Nancy J. Gephart and husband Patrick, his grandchildren Jennifer and Jeff Kostopolis, Jonathan and Stephanie Gephart, Jessica and Colin DeVincenzo, Eric Gephart and Daniela Bossi, his great-grandchildren Jacob, Jayson, Mia, Hannah, Donatello and Leonello. Funeral service will be on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 11 AM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ (KingstonandKemp.com). Private interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. Relatives and friends may visit on Friday from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
