Samuel A. Young, Jr., 71, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Capital Regional Medical Center, Trenton, NJ. Born in Trenton, Sam was a lifelong area resident. He was retired from Dow Jones Publishing, S. Brunswick, NJ, after 30 years of dedicated service. An avid Philadelphia Phillies fan, Sam enjoyed many years of involvement at Sunnybrae Little League including coaching, managing and serving as President of the league. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a member of the Luzerne Hunting Club, and cherished his yearly vacations with his family in Atlantic City and Wildwood. Son of the late Samuel A. Young, Sr., brother of the late William “Billy” Young and father of the late Robert “Bob” Young and son-in-law of the late Arthur Becker, he is survived by his mother Erma Young, his mother-in-law Pearl “Jean” Becker, his loving wife Debbie Virgil-Young, his children Samuel (Jaime) Young, III, Timothy (Kristin) Young, Randy Young, Chrissy (Joe) Hopkins, Dan (Jen) Virgil and Jen (Jeff) Virgil, his grandchildren Kyle, Cody, Connor, Brianna, Aubrey, Palmer, Ella, Brandon, Paige and Joseph. Memorial visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ (www.KingstonandKemp.com).
