Rosemarie F. Savino, 98, of Springfield Township, NJ, passed away, peacefully, at Samaritan Hospice at Virtua Mt. Holly Hospital on January 14, 2026.
Born on November 6, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, Rosemarie was predeceased by her mother Marion Anderson, her father Arthur Ford and her husband Clementi Savino.
She is survived by her loving children: daughter and son-in-law Theresa and George “Nick” Nicholson, son and daughter-in-law Clementi, Jr. and Ann Savino and son Gregory Savino. She loved her grandchildren Michael and Sheri, her great-grandchildren Avae, Sophie and her eldest grandchildren Veronica and Gregory, Jr.
Rosemarie lived her younger years with her husband and 3 children in the Bronx, NY. In 1964, they bought a 5000-chicken farm in Robbinsville, NJ and sold their eggs every week back in NY City. She then got into Standard race horses and started a breeding and boarding farm. When a sickness hit the horse breeding industry, she decided to raise her own horse babies and train and race them herself. She became a self-sufficient Standard and Breed Trainer. She then became a Horse Identifier at Freehold Raceway until her retirement. After retiring, she moved to her daughters’ farm and lived there for over 30 years. She led a peaceful life of painting, crocheting and doing whatever she liked.
She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
Rosemarie requested that there be no funeral services and that she be cremated and her remains scattered at the farm.
