Ponzi Marcucci, 97, of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Serenity Hospice with his loving family by his side.
A lifelong area resident, Ponzi worked as heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #825Band the Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club. Ponzi had many careers in his life starting with Stacy Trent Pontiac in the body shop, then became a crane operator for many years then back to auto body work at Stacy Auto Body. He then became a courier with Core States Bank. Ponzi retired in his 90’s from the Hamilton Township Road Department and Ecological Department.
His happiest times were spent with his family. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ponzi enjoyed hunting and racing. He was actually part of his grandson Jeff’s pit crew at New Egypt Speedway. Ponzi was also involved with his great-grandchildren Ty and Logan and their Quarter Midget racing.
Predeceased by his parents, Rizziero and Gilda (Lucidi) Marcucci; wife, Lois Marcucci; daughter Dorothy “Dee” Johnson: son-in-law Harold T. Johnson, brothers Joseph and Thomas Marcucci and sister Erma Toth.
He is survived by his son, John and Debby Marcucci of Mercerville, NJ, his grandchildren Stacy and David Blake of Frenchtown, NJ and Jeffrey and Caroline Marcucci of West Creek, NJ, his great-grandchildren Tylor and Logan Blake, as well as, many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 11 AM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ.
Relatives and friends may visit on Tuesday from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
