William Alan Harris Obituary

William A. Harris, 97, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away, peacefully, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, under the care of the NJ Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park, NJ (accompanied by his daughter, Mary).

William “Bill” was born on September 21, 1928 to the late Nellie Bayliff in Trenton, NJ. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953. Bill worked at Ufert Auto Parts for many years and retired from Waste Management Inc. in 1994.

Bill was an avid quoit player with Christ Presbyterian Church Steel Quoit League for many years and was also part of the DeLorenzo’s men’s slow pitch softball team. He enjoyed participating in various physically active sports and enjoyed watching his children’s and grandchildren’s sports activities.

Bill was pre-deceased by his wife MaryAnn Harris, his daughter Renee (Walter) Burbela, his son Robert (Debra) Harris, and his brothers James (Nancy) Schroeder, Alfred Bayliff and Robert (Jeanine) Bayliff.

He is survived by his daughter Mary L. Marinos (Sean Foley), his grandchildren Gina (Gino) Rosa, Walter (Brittnay) Burbela, Demetrios (Erin) Marinos and Angela (Santino) LaForgia, his great-grandchildren Isabella Rosa, Lacey and Maggie Burbela, and Santino and Lorenzo LaForgia, and his cousin Kay (Joe) Gura.

Funeral service will be on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ.

Entombment with military honors will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ.

Relatives and friends may visit on Friday from 10 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
