Catherine Mary Reid, 98, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away, peacefully, on Friday, September 5, 2025 under the care of Serenity Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

Catherine was born on August 30, 1927 to the late James H. and Nellie Allen in Jersey City, NJ. Retired after 25 years from Westinghouse in Trenton, NJ, Catherine “Cass” found the greatest joy spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren providing unconditional love to all of her family.

She was predeceased by her brothers James H. (Mary) Allen, Jr., Joseph (Rosie) Allen, her sister Helen Baughman, her husband John L. Reid, III, her grandson Ricky Travis Dalton, and her sons-in-law Richard B. Dalton and William S. Eger.

Catherine is survived by her daughters Mary Ellen Dalton, Cassie Eger, and Jacqueline (Walter) Wagner, her grandchildren Christi-Leigh Eger, Taylor John (Brittany) Dalton, Jamie Lynne (Tom) Wall, Walter (Melissa) Wagner and Tara (Matt) Brown, her great-grandchildren Thomas Paul Wall, Jack Richard Dalton, Addison Quinn Wall, Luke Taylor Dalton, Will Gregory Dalton and Jacob Dalton Rhys Brown.

Funeral service will be on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11 AM at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ.

Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.

Relatives and friends may visit on Friday from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
