Leona M. "Lee" DiNatale Obituary

Leona M. DiNatale “Lee”, 80, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, August 7th at Hamilton Grove with her loving daughter by her side.

Lee was a lifelong Hamilton resident and an active member of St. Raphael- Holy Angels Parish. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, taught CCD and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Her faith in service was always important to her. She helped special needs children prepare for First Holy Communion with the Holy Innocents Society. Lee retired from the State of New Jersey after 33 years.

Her happiest times were spent being with and entertaining her loving family and enjoying music and dancing. She was a wonderful bowler and participated in many local leagues. Lee spent 30 years with her Trenton Thunder family attending games. She enjoyed traveling abroad, especially her trips to Italy. Lee loved all animals and cared for her beloved stray cat community. Baking was another passion of Lee’s and family and friends were happy recipients of her delicious treats. She was also known for her frequent visits to homebound and nursing homebound friends to share communion and prayers.

Predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Lillian Edinger; loving husband, Rocky “Ronnie” DiNatale; daughter Lucille Donahue; brothers, Raymond and Jerry Edinger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rocco and Lucy DiNatale; her nephew, Tim Cunningham and Scott Edinger.

Survived by her loving daughter with whom she resided, Janis DiNatale; granddaughter Jillian Moyer and husband, Kyle; son-in-law, Kevin Donahue; sister, Patricia Wilcox and husband, Hal; sister-in-law, Jan Reesman and husband, Robb; nephews, Jody Bradley and wife, Linda and David Cunningham and wife, Sheri; niece, Keely Harrison; and several great-nieces and cousins, Lee’s special friends who lunched weekly and traveled annually to Wildwood; many dear friends and her cat companion, Rocky.

Leona was “Awesome” and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Raphael’s Church, 3500 S. Broad St., Hamilton, NJ.

Entombment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton, NJ.

Relatives and friends may visit from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Raphael’s Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lee’s honor to St. Raphael’s- Holy Angels Parish or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
