Mrs. Phyllis A. Schroeder, 82, passed away, peacefully, on Friday, June 6, 2025, after an extended illness.

Born, Phyllis Arleen Murfit, she was a lifelong resident of the Trenton/Hamilton area. She married her high school sweetheart, and love of her life, Paul “Pete” Schroeder, the former Hamilton Township “Officer Friendly”, in 1965.

She was a graduate of Trenton Central High School (1960) and Mercer County Community College. She was employed with State of New Jersey as a graphic design artist, retiring in 2004.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Pete, her son, Paul; her parents Francis and Phyllis Murfit and two sisters; Margaret Cowell and Laura May Murfit.

She is survived by her two sons, Peter and his wife Lori Schroeder and Patrick Schroeder and his companion Janet Cash; her daughter in law (widow of Paul) Cathy Jo (Schroeder) Soden, and her sister Mrs. Patricia Valeri, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:30 am at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton, NJ.

Entombment of cremated remains at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ will be private.

Relatives and friends may visit on Friday from 10 to 11:30 am at the funeral home.
